Welcome to DIET ROORKEE, HARIDWAR- The DIETs were envisioned in the national Policy of Education, 1986 and were created by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development in the early 1990s to strengthen elementary education and support the decentralization of education to the district level, under the centrally sponsored Scheme on teacher education. DIET Roorkee, Haridwar established in 1996, is located at Ramnagar Roorkee. This institution serves as a backbone to all educational activities in the district. DIET Roorkee, Haridwar is a pioneering educational institution committed to the holistic development of educators in district Haridwar.
